Indulge a Little in Denver at The Oxford

PHOTO COURTESY OF COLORADO YOGA + LIFE MAGAZINE

With The Oxford Hotel as Denver’s most historic hotel, located right in LoDo (Lower Downtown) and just steps away from Union Station, this luxurious getaway is only better with a visit to the Urban Farmer Steakhouse for a meal and to the Oxford Club for some self-care.

Take an overnight or make it a long weekend. The unique heritage and contemporary appeal of Denver is really embraced by the property, so it’s worth spending some time enjoying and indulging.

Fuel Up

After check-in, start with a complimentary pour from the daily pop-up “Bourbon Bar” in the inviting lounge area, then settle into one of The Oxford’s unique guest rooms to get rejuvenated for your visit.   Urban Farmer Steakhouse is located in the hotel, a restaurant offering a seasonally driven menu that highlights nose-to-tail cuts of naturally raised meat.  Brunch is a great option any day of the week, with staples like farm eggs and avocado toast to specialties like a grass-fed sirloin and the Buffalo Bill breakfast sandwich.

Wind Down

Digest first, then walk over to the Oxford Club (just a couple doors down from the main hotel entrance) for a yoga or fitness class, along with the serenity of the lovely spa.  The Oxford Club offers a complete menu of relaxing spa services, including Swedish, Thai and Shiatsu massage, sugar scrubs, waxing and facials — plus a recently renovated salon offering a full-service menu of haircuts, color, special event styling and makeup.   Check out one of the newest treatments available, like the 80-minute Bee My Honey farm-to-table massage treatment. It features local honey from Urban Farmer Steakhouse, olive oil, sugar, and lavender essential oil blended together to create a luxurious exfoliating experience. A relaxing milk and honey body butter massage using Colorado’s Sanitas Skincare will leave your skin deliciously smooth.  Wine lovers can try the Cabernet Crush treatment. Urban Farmer Executive Chef Chris Starkus has taken The Crawford Hotel’s signature house cabernet and made a rejuvenating facial mask that harnesses the anti-aging effects of resveratrol and polyphenols combined with Sanitas Skincare products.  www.theoxfordhotel.com Photos by The Oxford Hotel.
